Dispatch from the Left Coast
EPILOGUE
By:  califusa

Jason's injuries were treated, and he was remanded for psychiatric evaluation. When told this would be done at the State Psychiatric Hospital in Napa, he screamed once, quite loudly, then became very quiet. Fortunately, his wounds will not require skin grafts.

Bastardo and the Director were driven to the airport, and escorted onto the aircraft. In exchange for a nondisclosure agreement, the Assistant DA agreed to dropping the criminal complaints. The authorities felt that subsequent visits to the Bay Area would be ill-advised.

The Dobermans are clearly off their feed, and are not sleeping well. Their vet thinks they may be in a period of mourning.

Time will tell...
